About Kalikas Armour
Kalikas Armour is an independent British atelier rooted in transformation.
Founded by British designer and Creative Director Jatin Patel, the house creates private commissions through architectural silhouette, historic tailoring, symbolism and hand-worked construction.
The name draws inspiration from Kalika, a sacred name of the goddess Kali, an ancient archetype associated with transformation, strength and renewal. Within the house, armour becomes a metaphor for personal transformation. Sartorial armour that protects, empowers and reveals the strength of the individual wearing it.
Here, clothing is intention made visible.
Power is engineered through form.
Transformation is crafted through detail.
Clothing designed not simply to be worn, but inhabited.
CRAFTED FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Kalikas Armour is built on the discipline of the atelier. Architectural silhouettes are supported by precision cutting, internal structure and corsetry; surface embellishment and hand-worked detail are applied only after the form has been resolved.
Nothing is surface alone. The construction beneath the garment is as considered as what is seen, allowing structure and fluidity, authority and ease, strength and refinement to coexist.
Every private commission is constructed in-house in England, giving the atelier close control over proportion, fit, finish and the integrity of the final piece.

From our atelier in Medway’s historic INTRA district, Kent, the house is grounded in heritage knowledge, making and renewal—a landscape shaped by dockyard history, industry and craftsmanship, now reimagined through forward-thinking design.
Kalikas Armour also sits within a contemporary British South Asian creative story, bringing together heritage, craft, individuality and modern British luxury. Cultural influence is present without confining the work; it becomes part of a wider language of identity, self-definition and contemporary expression.
SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH PERMANENCE
Kalikas Armour approaches sustainability through permanence: fewer pieces, made with intention, constructed with care and designed to hold meaning beyond a single moment.
Materials are responsibly sourced and textiles are reimagined. Where appropriate, garments may be reworked, relined, adapted or restyled, allowing them to evolve across future seasons and milestones.
FUTURE DIRECTION
Alongside its private-client practice, Kalikas Armour is developing a future limited demi-couture collection with a Made in England production ambition, carrying the house’s armour-inspired design language into a more accessible commercial form.
We operate within the discipline of the atelier tradition, private, considered and exacting.
